Just discovered these guys website. Although not yet launched the Walleon wallet looks pretty innovative with all the smart features you’d expect from wallets of this type (GPS Tracking mainly). The biggest difference I’ve found between the Walleon and other smart wallets is the inclusion of a power bank (for smartphone charging I assume).

If it can be implemented well, without causing too much bulk, then Walleon has a pretty big edge compared to other smart wallets on the market today. The power bank apparently will have a  2500mah battery which is fairly large. Other features include the likes of a smart sensor (for battery saving), SOS Voice Calling (which allows you to make an SOS call to predefined numbers by holding a hidden button for a few seconds).

This is defiantly a wallet to look out for in my opinion. That being said, Smart Wallet’s are notorious for failing to deliver to their Kickstarter/IndieGoGo backers (check out the likes of the Volterman or Cashew Wallet). This is probably because these investors fail to correctly estimate how much these technical aspects of the wallet cost in reality. They usually end up running out of money. Hopefully, this won’t be the case for the Walleon, but I will be watching the project carefully.

Oh, look another ‘smart wallet’ from Kickstarter.

Let’s hope another 2000 people aren’t scammed again.

    I see your point.

But, as long as people do their due diligence, and know what they’re getting involved with, I don’t think we should judge projects before the projects are even live. I think Kickstarter has done a poor job of safeguarding backers over the years and they’re more to blame or the blatant ‘scam’ projects over the years.
